Jewett City Savings Bank Foundation announced a $1,873 grant was awarded to the Preston Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) in celebration of the Bank’s 150th anniversary.
The grant will be used to support the PTO in funding their annual family fun event, Preston Palooza. The event features food trucks, carnival games, bounce houses, a dunk tank, and more. Dedicated to supporting the school community and its students, the PTO is solely a volunteer organization composed of parents, caregivers, teachers, administrators, and support staff.
“The Preston PTO is an instrumental part of helping the local community thrive, as they focus on ensuring our children have the educational and recreational resources they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom. We are thrilled to support and honor them as we celebrate our anniversary,” said Michael Alberts, President and CEO of Jewett City Savings Bank.
